SkyRus Big Bang Event 2024
A Big Bang is an event that pairs artists and writers together to create content for a series, ship, or theme.The SkyRus Big Bang will be centered around the characters of Lost in the cloud, by Paskim, where their relationships can be either platonic or romantic.
This is a non-competitive event, meaning everyone who applies will be able to participate!

What kind of event is this?
The SkyRus Big Bang is a traditional bang.Writers will be expected to submit summaries and excerpts for their works and artists will have to select their top preferences so they can be paired up later on.
Role: WRITER
✑ Writers will be writing a story of at least 5,000 words.✑ There's no maximum requirement. Writers may write as many words as they wish.✑ Works must be new, unpublished and unshared on public forums and/or websites. You can, however, submit a draft that has already been started as long as it hasn't been shared anywhere.✑ Writers can work on more than one story for this bang, but we kindly ask you to take care of yourself and not take on more than you can handle. Each fic still has to be 5k and each submission will require a new summary submission.This is subject to change depending on how many artists apply.✑ For multi-chaptered works, the works don't necessarily need to be completed by the posting time. The final deadline must meet our minimum word count (5k) or reach the scene your assigned artist has illustrated, even if it's a scene beyond the minimum.✑ Every summary must be kept secret and anonymous until summary selection ends and your partner has been announced. The purpose of this is to make summary selection as fair as possible.
Role: ARTIST
✑ Artists will be required to draw at least one new piece of art based off of their partner's story.✑ Artists will have a say in which story they wish to work with during the summary selection process.Be mindful that, depending on the stats for writers and artists roles, one artists might be having to create for up to three stories.We will be giving you the option to choose if you're willing to work with more than one writer on the application form.✑ There is no maximum requirement. Artists may create multiple pieces of art should you so choose.✑ Artwork for this event can be of any style and any medium. That means that both traditional and digital art is welcome, as well as any comic-style format.✑ The only requirement for art pieces is concise linework. Sketches will not be accepted as a final piece.✑ There is no skill requirement to join/participate in the bang. Artists of all skill levels are welcomed.
Role: BETA
✑ Betas will have the opportunity to either:
A. Work with a specific writer/fic;
B. Be available as a general beta for any writer/fic.
✑ What betas look over will be dependent on what the writer wishes to be evaluated.
Role: PINCH HITTER
✑ Anyone who signs up for the Pinch Hitter comes into play when a writer or artist drops from the event!✑ Pinch hitters will be contacted on a first-come-first-serve basis .
I.e. The first pinch hitter (writer) to apply will be contacted when the first writer drops out.✑ We cannot guarantee you will be contacted as a pinch hitter, especially if you sign up towards the end of the event.✑ If you decide to fill the role of a previous writer/artist, their requirements will still be the same. 5,000 word minimum for writers; at least one art piece for artists.
